Welcome!
On his seventh Koos Verkaik began to write stories. First short stories, but soon it became hand-written manuscripts of many hundreds of pages. A series about a young space traveler who went in search of adventures on a far-away planet, got published in the weekly Sjors (three pages per week) when Koos was 16; when he as 18, he wrote his first novel, that was published under the title ADOLAR (the name of the main character).
In the mean time over 50 different titles are published, both for children and adults, countless scripts, several recordings etc., etc.
The books ALL FATHER and WOLF TEARS gave him the name of The Dutch Stephen King.

While not all of the language barriers translate smoothly, the tale itself does. Mr. Verkaik delivers in a style that is reminiscent of Hitchcock. The story is multi-layered, and the deeper you get into the story, the more involved it gets. Truly a master at what he writes, Koos Verkaik weaves a tale of magic, sorcery, the occult and man’s need for power, as well as combination of folklore that transcends various cultures. I guarantee the reader will not predict the outcome. I look foward to reading more of this authors works.

Koos Verkaik does a great job of combining magic, the occult, and horror with the traditional Old World stories of the Nibelung treasure. Right from the start, you are plunged into the story of Willem Wolf as he attempts to debunk a woman who claims to have telekinetic ability and quickly finds himself in a world of paranormal events andunexplainable phenomena.
